The Historical Archive of the Chamber of Commerce, that owns rich historical-economical documents dating from the 14th to the 19th century, also has an educational and museum function thanks to the precise exhibition arrangement of the ancient codes and of the several relics: they are evidence of the evolution of production and trade activities of the Cremona community, from the medieval Universitas Mercatorum to the Unity of Italy. The Chamber Archive also comprises statutes and registration codes of the ancient Art Guilds, as well as weighing instruments, ancient coins and a remarkable collection of trademarks and shop signs of the ancient Cremona merchants, between the 14th and 16th century.
